 The need for Calm is one of the most basic human needs. One of the consequences of the recent century's social developments is the human's predicament in all kinds of spiritual and moral crises and the loss of his true calm. The unknown interpretation of this concept has also has increased this crisis. The main question of the present article is what are the characteristics of calm according to Sadra's wisdom, and How is it related to calm in contemporary psychology? This research, in a qualitative method of content analysis, by analyzing the meaning of calm, has divided it into two types, physical and spiritual, and placed intellectual pleasures as one of the highest levels of calm in Sadra's wisdom. The explanation of the factors of attracting and depriving calm from Mulla Sadra's point of view are also among the other findings of the upcoming research. In contemporary psychology, the model of Subjective well-being (Swb) can be considered aligned with the types of physical relaxation and low levels of inner relaxation. Also, the model of psychological well-being (pwb) can often be seen as converging with inner calm and its other levels.
