This article is based on transcendental wisdom as an answer to and solution to one of the crises of contemporary man, namely, “What is true and genuine freedom? What is its path and destination? What are its pillars? And what are its characteristics?” This article, referring to the foundations and requirements of the philosophy of Sadr al-Mutalahin, aims to deduce the truth of freedom and its requirements in the system of Sadr al-Hussein’s wisdom. Freedom in transcendental wisdom can be defined as “approach to infinite truth.” In this article, by focusing on this definition of freedom, it presents a precise picture of what “approach” is and explains the “path to freedom.” In transcendental wisdom, the path to freedom or to falling into captivity is man himself, which is interpreted as the soul. Knowledge of the soul is the path to freedom; A person who attains the direct and intuitive knowledge of the self is on the path of freedom, and the more he increases his knowledge, the more his freedom, development, and existential extension increase, because this knowledge of the self is associated with the knowledge of God (who is the infinite truth), to the extent that it can achieve the highest degree of freedom possible for a person.
