The problem of introspection can be described as deceptively simple: it appears conceptually straightforward, yet it contains deep and persistent philosophical difficulties. Traditionally, introspection is understood as a first-person method that grants an individual privileged and even infallible access to their own conscious experiences. This classical conception, developed within the paradigm of folk psychology, has long been accompanied by significant epistemological and conceptual challenges. While such criticisms are important in their own right, the present paper does not attempt to address them directly. Instead, adopting an analytic-descriptive approach, it proposes a re-reading of the problem of introspection through the framework of constructivism. From this perspective, introspection is not merely a transparent window onto pre-given mental states but is, at least in many cases, shaped by constructive processes. The findings of this study suggest that one's mental states depend on social, cultural, and linguistic constructs to a greater extent than is commonly assumed. Accordingly, introspection is better understood as a phenomenon whose structure and content are partly constituted through these broader frameworks. This paradigm shift opens the possibility of reconceiving introspection not as an infallible method but as a process shaped by broader social and cultural frameworks.
