This study, employing an analytical-inferential approach, explores the interaction between theoretical and practical intellect in the process of human existential perfection from the perspective of Imam Khomeini's philosophy. By analyzing two models—longitudinal and transversal—the study demonstrates that the transversal model, which emphasizes the simultaneous cooperation of both intellects, is more consistent with Imam Khomeini’s metaphysical framework. While maintaining the ontological precedence of practical intellect, this model reveals the strategic and complementary role of both faculties in the realization of knowledge through action. Furthermore, the study correlates this intellectual interaction with the descending and ascending arcs of the Divine Names, highlighting the pivotal role of practical intellect in actualizing these Names through ethical and spiritual transformation. The research concludes that true human perfection can only be achieved through the harmonious interplay of both intellects, culminating in the mystical station of fanāʾ fī Allāh, where the perfected soul becomes the comprehensive manifestation of the Divine Names.
