One major challenge theologians need to address is the modern world-religion conflict. In spite of the efforts they have made to explain and tackle this issue, no achievement has been reached. As a theologian, David Tracy has tried to propose a model based on which religious humans might be able to live in this world. In order to do so, he has borrowed a great deal from preceding theologians and hermeneutics philosophers. Having re-read Christian resources, he explained pluralistic situation of theology using such self-made concepts as analogical imagination, classic, and whole. He, therefore, regards theology in the contemporary world as public theology. The current study aims to explain his model and thoughts in different points of views. The concepts he introduced and his thinking framework are investigated. After that, the criticism he has received is illustrated and, finally, the model he has proposed to tackle the pluralistic situation of the contemporary world is explained.
